My name's Laura Hogarth and I'm a thirty-something web designer based in Birmingham in the West Midlands. I design and build websites, and I love my job!
I started Web Design as a hobby in my early 20s and soon realised that the combination of creativity and logic made it the perfect career for me. Since then I have produced work for companies including Apple, Sony and Disney, as well as working on projects with individuals and smaller companies.
What I do
I design and develop high-quality websites that are tailored to each individual client's requirements and budget. I'll take the time to get to know your business, understand your users, and deliver a solution that works best for you.
My skills include:
- Hand-coding HTML5
- Expert-level CSS, including OOCSS and SASS
- Responsive web design (sites which adapt to tablets and smartphones)
- Content Management System (CMS) integration
- User Interface design
- Photoshop and Illustrator
I am also able to advise and assist with other aspects of your online presence, including Social Media, SEO, Analytics and Content Strategy.
Who I work with
Individuals, Startups and SMEs
My personal, flexible and hands-on approach is perfectly suited to individuals and small to medium-sized companies. I love being able to get to know my clients and better understand their business goals, allowing me to produce work that's perfectly tailored to their requirements.
I am currently available for new projects, so why not get in touch to see what I could do for you?
I am currently open to design and front-end development work from agencies, and I am happy to work with any CMS or framework. Please get in touch for information about my availability and rates.
A bit more about me...
Having lived in the West Midlands for most of my life, I'm now based in South Birmingham where I live with my husband and our cats.
I'm a friendly, open person, who'll always go the extra mile to deliver the best work I possibly can. When I'm not creating little slices of the web I enjoy your typical geek pursuits such as rock music, pub quizzes, video games, sci-fi, comic books, and looking at pictures of cute animals on the internet.
